Our History of the College
Pasumpon Thiru Muthuramalinga Thevar Memorial College Kamuthi was founded in June 1970 as a glowing tribute to the memory of the great patriot Thiru. U.Muthuramalinga Thevar. The College is affiliated to Alagappa University, Karaikudi. It is opened to students of all castes and creeds of both sexes. It makes in the backward area a modest beginning of higher education. From May, 1984 onwards the Regional Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Madurai Region, Madurai has been acting as the care taker of the college. Now he has been acting as special officer of the college since 14.11.2022
College Council
The Council consists of Heads of the Departments. It is purely an advisory body to advise the Principal on matters of general discipline and smooth functioning of the College. Normally it meets once in a month to discuss the matters of academic importance.
